Mia Aston is an award-winning director, animator and painter based in Los Angeles, California. She graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television Production. Growing up as a military dependent, she has lived in seven different states. The changing sceneries of her youth and making stop motion sets out of cardboard moving boxes has inspired the integration of her mixed media filmmaking today.
Mia’s work has been recognized at festivals from NYU, UCLA, Sydney Lift-Off Film Festival, Best Shorts Competition, Open Gate International Film Festival and more.
